Bed & Breakfast
This beautiful home was built in 1905 by local businessman Marcus Maurin, as a wedding gift for his daughter. The home has had several owners, but the current owners, Kevin and Jill Ward, have a special connection, as Kevin's grandfather, Dr. Herman Koop, was an earlier owner and operated his medical practice from here. The architecture of the house is described as a free classic Queen Anne with Colonial Revival details. The home has warmth and charm as highlighted by stained oak and maple floors, beautiful woodwork, fireplace and wrap around porch. Guests will take a step back in time as they relax on the front porch, in front of the cozy fireplace, or in their own room. We offer lovely accommodations, as well as space for weddings, receptions, holiday parties, meetings, family gatherings, and other special events.

In addition to The Pillar Inn business, Jill works for Bursch Travel, and has been in the travel business for over 20 years. Contact her if you need help planning your vacation! Kevin has managed El Rancho Manana Campground and Riding Stable, located only 7 miles from The Pillar Inn, for over 20 years (check under our "packages" tab for opportunities to vist El Rancho Manana). The land at El Rancho Manana was purchased by Kevin's grandfather, Dr. Herman Koop, who was one of the early owners of The Pillar Inn house.
